Remuneration: R9 000 per month

As part of our 2024–2026 growth plan, we are recruiting two Candidate Attorneys: 

  • One (1) SandtonImmediate start
  • One (1) Umhlanga, Durban 2026 start (exact date to be agreed with the successful candidate)

Role Requirements and Expectations

Minumum Requirements (both roles)

  • LLB degree (compulsory). 
  • Eligibility to be enrolled as a candidate legal practitioner in terms of the Legal Practice Act. 
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); another South African language is advantageous. 
  • Demonstrable interest in litigation and/or family law with a solid academic record. 
  • Professional demeanour: confident, well-spoken, client-oriented. 
  • Digital proficiency: Microsoft Office, Outlook, and cloud-based document management. 
  • Commute: within approximately 30–45 minutes of the office applied for (Sandton or Pretoria). 

Availability: 

  • Sandton: Immediate upon appointment. 
  • Umhlanga: 2026 (start date to be agreed). 

Key responsibilities

  • Drafting & correspondence: summonses, notices, affidavits, and formal letters. 
  • Litigation support: compile and index discovery; maintain trial-prep checklists; bundle management. 
  • Court & consults: prepare, attend, and assist supervising attorneys. 
  • Research: statutes, case law, and procedural updates relevant to family-law litigation. 
  • Client liaison: assist with consultations, file readiness, and ongoing communications. 
  • Compliance & admin: FICA onboarding, CRM data capture, billing hygiene, and SOP adherence. 
  • Internal training: workshops, KPI check-ins, and knowledge-sharing.
